Lactoferricin is a 25-reidue peptide with antibacteria and antitumor activities.The LFB 17-31 peptide fragment from lactoferricin has been shown to sustain the antibacterial activity.In a structure-antibacterial activity relationship study,Trp in position 6 and 8 turned out critical for the antibacterial activity of LFB 17-31 [1].
