We demonstrated through a rigorous quantum optic method the possibility of obtaining laser emission in the ultra short wavelength region from solid state crystals. We related the results to the Zeeman's effect in a crystal lattice and found that Electromagnetic Transparency (EIT) may be attained through this effect leading to a condition of Lasing Without Inversion (LWI). The paper gives a detailed mathematical model of the laser and proposes some simulation results.
