Real-Time Multiple Vehicle Turn Signal Detection System Based on Energy Representation

Recently, the development of artificial intelligence has been applied and used in various fields. In particular, it contributed to the significant development in autonomous driving, and research is being actively conducted. There are many exceptions to deal with in autonomous driving. Examples include the appearance of pedestrians, road construction, and driving intentions of nearby vehicles when driving. The most frequently encountered and dealing with these problems is understanding the driving intentions of the surrounding vehicles. Vehicles send signals to neighboring vehicles to let them know their intentions. They can notify you of a stop, left turn, right turn, or emergency situation. In other words, there is a need for a technology that recognizes these signals during autonomous driving. In this paper, we propose a real-time signal detection system for vehicles based on HSV and Object Detection.
