Before the large-scale application of perfluorocarbonone (C5F10O) gas, the compatibility between C5F10O gas and solid materials in electrical equipment should be studied. Epoxy resin is a kind of solid insulating material commonly used in gas insulated equipment. In this paper, the model of cross-linked epoxy resin was established, and the compatibility of C5F10O gas and its decomposition products with epoxy resin was studied based on reactive force field method. The simulation results show that C5F10O does not react with epoxy resin, so it is considered that it has good compatibility with epoxy resin. Among the decomposition products of C5F10O, CO and CF4 were relatively stable and showed good compatibility with epoxy resin. However, other free radicals such as F., CF:, CF2:, CF3. would react with epoxy resin intensively, which had an obvious influence on molecular structure of epoxy resin.
