Field Measuring Assessment for Demarcating Lighting Management Zones in Gwangju Metropolitan City

This study aims to suggest basic data for making enactments of the anti-light pollution by Gwangju Metropolitan City. For this purpose, the four target areas which were classified such as natural, residential and commercial areas according to "Light Pollution Prevention Law by night lighting" were selected, and the field surveys were performed by measuring luminance. As a result, approximately 82% among the measuring point were over illuminated as compared with the criteria of light pollution and some solutions were necessary to prevent from light pollution in night time especially residential and commercial area in Gwangju.
