ON THE FLIGHT OPERATING SAFETY IN THE MOUNTAINOUS ZONE AIRPORT

The statement of the terrain flow simulation problem is given in the paper, the computational mesh based on the contour map of the area is built, boundary conditions are stated.The numerical simulation of the flow above the real mountain airfield Bakula Rimpoche (Leh, India) is performed. Wind direction that generates coherent vortex structures, crossing glide path and posing a danger to the aircraft performing takeoff and landing isfound.
