Based on steady state simulation and pinch analysis an approach is shown, which aims to find the optimum solid oxide electrolysis system design. Thereby a specific application scenario is addressed with focus on process interfaces to consider both coupling of streams and heat transfer. Two use cases, a co-electrolysis and a reversible system are investigated, and results of the thermal management are shown.
