Application of Grey Relation Method forComprehensive Evaluation of Irrigation Scheme

It is important to evaluate irrigation schemes objectively and accurately. This paper adoptsthe conjunctive use of analytical hierarchy process and information entropy method to identifyindicator weight, and using grey relation analysis to evaluate irrigation schemes. Through theevaluation of large-sized irrigation schemes in Hubei Province, basing on grey relation degree ofirrigation schemes, the irrigation schemes are ranked and classified into better, moderate and worsetype; meanwhile, according to grey relation degree of different indicators, the importance of indicatorfor the evaluation of irrigation schemes is investigated. In the end, comparison shown evaluationresults are consistent between grey relation analysis method and the technique for order preferenceby similarity to ideal solution. Grey relation analysis method for the evaluation of irrigation schemesis a kind of simple and effective method.
