It is important to evaluate irrigation schemes objectively and accurately. This paper adopts the conjunctive use of analytical hierarchy process and information entropy method to identify indicator weight, and using grey relation analysis to evaluate irrigation schemes. Through the evaluation of large-sized irrigation schemes in Hubei Province, basing on grey relation degree of irrigation schemes, the irrigation schemes are ranked and classified into better, moderate and worse type; meanwhile, according to grey relation degree of different indicators, the importance of indicator for the evaluation of irrigation schemes is investigated. In the end, comparison shown evaluation results are consistent between grey relation analysis method and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution. Grey relation analysis method for the evaluation of irrigation schemes is a kind of simple and effective method.
