An angular acceleration sensor based on the semicircular canal

摘要

In this paper we propose an angular acceleration sensor based on a semicircular canal. A beam stands in the circular path and an angular acceleration is detected as the strain of bases of the beam. We designed mathematical model of the functioning of the semicircular canal and fabricated a beam which had strain gauges.
