摘要

In this paper, we focus on the requirements for socialrnservices and tools needed to support learningrncommunities in an organizational context. The purpose ofrnsuch communities is to foster and maintain a fruitfulrnenvironment for learning and development for thernorganizations the community is a part of. Introducing newrntechnologies such as serious games for learning inrnorganizations imposes new challenges on supporting therndevelopment of communities through the different phasesrnof their lifecycle. In order to identify these challenges it isrnnecessary to study the interrelationship and mutualrnreciprocity among the concepts of organization,rncommunity, learning, knowledge and technology. As arnresult, the traditional understanding of learningrncommunities will need to be augmented or re-described.
