The seabed instability due to the wave action is a major concern for coastal engineers. Thisrnstudy presents analytic solutions for the wave-induced pore pressure, displacement and stresses, rnfor the case of a short-crested wave system (3-D), as well as for progressive and standing wavesrn(2-D). It allows the specification of isotropic or anisotropic soils, as well as a partially orrncompletely saturated seabed. These solutions are in good agreement with previous models.rnFinally, an application example for the estimation of the unstable layer thickness is presented.
