The present invention relates to pharmaceutical formulations for oral delivery of synthetic or natural impermeable molecules or salts/solvates thereof having therapeutic activity. The pharmaceutical formulation contains a synthetic or natural impermeable molecule or a salt or solvate thereof in an amount of 0.01-10% by weight of the total weight of the formulation; the lipophilic phase comprises triglycerides of fatty acids in an amount of 50-80% by weight of the total weight of the formulation; and the at least one lipophilic surfactant may comprise a partial ester of a polyol and a fatty acid in an amount of about 10-50% by weight of the total weight of the formulation.
