The present disclosure provides methods for promoting differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into thymic epithelial cells or thymic epithelial cell progenitors, as well as cells obtained from the methods, and solutions, compositions, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such cells do. The present disclosure also provides methods, and kits, of using thymic epithelial cells or thymic epithelial cell progenitors for the treatment and prevention of disease, organ generation, as well as other uses.
