The method for detonation synthesis of polycrystalline diamonds is implemented by exploding a charge in the centre of a sealed explosive chamber in an ice shell or in a water shell. The charge is made of a mixture of graphite with hexogen and/or octogen at a graphite content of 20%. After the explosion, the resulting suspension of diamonds in water is extracted from the chamber into a settling tank.
