METHOD FOR ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT USING THE STRAIGHT-WIRE TECHNIQUE

The proposed method for orthodontic treatment of a patient consists in the use of standard orthodontic archwires (1) in conjunction with individual elements of braces (2), the parameters of which are set in accordance with the shape of the teeth, the desired position thereof at the end of the treatment, and also the shape and position of an orthodontic archwire (1) at the end of the treatment. Said parameters of an orthodontic archwire (1) are also determined for each particular case on the basis of a standard shape of the selected orthodontic archwire and the initial position of the patient's teeth. Modelling the shape and position of the final orthodontic archwire at the end of the treatment by the proposed method makes it possible to achieve pre-planned movement of the patient's teeth and to implement the movement with the aid of custom-made individual braces.
