Moulding tobacco pouches, tyre covers, &c.-Fig. 3 shows the application of the invention to moulds for producing seamless tobacco pouches of the kind described in Specification No. 15,709, A.D. 1897. A core c, covered by hand with uncured plastic rubber, is placed in the mould a, and pressing cover sections d are slid between inclined surfaces of the mould and a wedge-shaped projection c4 of the core until the surfaces h of the sections come in contact with the ribs a6 of the mould. Surplus rubber is forced into the grooves a7 in the mould. Fig. 5 shows a mould for producing tyre covers. Radial pressing-sections dare made with inclined abutting ends, which slide past one another when the sections are forced outwards in an inclined direction to press the plastic rubber or material in the divided mould a. Grooves a7 are formed in the pressing-sections and mouldrings to receive the surplus material, and the sections, mould-rings, and core c are formed with inclined abutting surfaces.
