Method for the production of colloidal sulphur in the dry state and at different degrees of concentration

Colloidal suspensions of sulphur are dried or concentrated to any desired degree by spraying the suspension in a current of air or inert gas which may be heated to a temperature between 80 and 150 DEG C. Preferably the spraying is effected in the presence of an antioxidant, such as sodium sulphite, which is added to the suspension or may be formed during the preparation of the suspension. If desired, the suspension may be previously concentrated or purified by centrifuging.
