Tracking and tensioning of an endless belt conveyer 15 is effected by a displacement of a roller axle 20 by the action of pneumatic cylinders 12, 13. Air is supplied to the ends of both cylinders. via a reducing valve 11. Tracking is effected by separate cylinders 28 which act on a cage 33 carrying a roller 35 which bears on the lower run of the conveyer belt 15. Each end of the roller 35 may be preset by means of an adjusting screw 36.
