Paper plies are joined by a synthetic adhesive pref. composed of a copolymer based on vinyl acetate-ethylene which is devoid of softener and does not dissolve in water. Moisture arising during thaw and freeze cycles in short term refrigerated storage between vehicle and store or customer does not affect the adhesive and the bag thus retains shape, strength and stackability. The base is wide to make for good stability and easy stacking.
