摘要

An adaptive control system is employed to control a linear motor drive for transportation systems. The controller has a number of inputs representing reference data and a feedback relating to the air gap between the electromagnetic field devices and the rail. A control signal is generated to regulate the strength of the field. Due to the high transportation velocities employed and the small air gaps and adaptive dynamic model of the system is coupled in to provide adjustment of the control unit. The analogue model describes the dynamic of the electro-magnetic field in terms of voltage, current, air gap, magnetic field strength and output force. The unit ensures that the air gap is maintained within a predetermined permissible range.
