A chamber for a flotation process has a bottom (2) and an open top end (3). Around the top peripheral edge is arranged a closure (4) for engaging in a standardised transport container. The lower side wall of the chamber is provided with many holes (5), so that a screening device is formed, the dimension of which is several times larger than that of the parasite eggs. The bottom side of the closure has a truncated cone shape (9), the apex of the cone being formed at the top, the closure being joined in a liquid-tight manner to the outside of the chamber. The openings, situated on the outside, of one row (10) of holes are arranged directly beneath the junction point. The excrements are diluted in the transport container with a liquid which also forms a liquid level in the chamber which is higher than that in the transport container. The density of the dilution fluid is between that of the parasite eggs and that of the excrements. The eggs ascend and pass through the row of holes (10) into the chamber. IMAGE
