Drying wood or fibrous material - material subjected to vibration at levels above fibre saturation point during drying process

A system for drying out of wood or similar fibrous material has the wood subjected to a vibration which lies above the fibre saturation point whilst the wood etc., is being dried out. The frequency range of the applied vibration lies somewhere between 25Hz and the ultrasonic region depending on the material being dried. Generally the vibrations lie in the region 45-65Hz or fractions or multiples thereof and can be produced by combinations of a selection of various frequencies. The frequencies can be modulated or varied during the drying process.
