Sewage treatment plant for coastal towns - mixes electrolysed seawater with sewage before discharging into sea

Seaside sewage treatment plant in which seawater is pumped from the sea into an electrolytic cell from which the electrolysed seawater is delivered into a mixing tank to be mixed with and to pretreat sewage. The mixt. is then discharged into the sea via a delivery pipe. The mixing tank is pref. fitted with a powdered beater and a secondary mixing tank is pref. interposed between the 1st. mixing tank and the delivery pipe. Electrolytically decomposed seawater is used as a pretreatment soln. for sewage to be discharged into the sea, the hypochlorites and chlorine in soln. providing powerful oxidising and bactericidal effects to purify the sewage. Coastal towns are provided with an effective, economic means of pretreating sewage before it is dumped into the sea, this reducing pollution.
