A candy rope is fed continuously along a channel 23 by rollers 28-31 under sizing discs 25, 26 to an accumulation portion 24 and thence by intermittently diverse rollers 32, 33 into pockets 21 of a wheel 20. Shears 22 cut the rope into sweets. After each pocket has been moved through 90 degrees a pusher 39 pushes the sweet out of the pocket, along a guide 34, against a wrapper supplied by a device 38 and between a pair of the gripping jaws. 19d, 19e.
