The device consists of a label mounting positively secured to the package. This mounting can have a holder detachable from the package, and preferably re-usable several times over, e.g. an elastic band. The band can be suitable for stretching to twice its normal length, the latter being roughly equal to the periphery of a medium-size package. The mounting can be arranged to slide on the band, and can be in the form of a pocket for the label. Alternatively the mounting can be riveted on to the band, and the label can fit onto the mounting by means of press-studs.
