The axial-flow fan impeller has blades (10) adjustable about their longitudinal axes. Stub shaft ends (14) on each blade foot (13) are pivotable on the impeller hub (15) about radial pivot axes (12). Adjustment is by a common element (22) engaging elements (23) on each blade pivot (14). The elements consist of gearing (21) comprising a central gear wheel (22) rotatable relative to the hub and meshing with individual gear wheels (23) for each of the blades. The hub may be bowl-shaped consisting of a radial hub disc (16) and a peripheral flange (18) co-axial with the impeller axis (17), the outer surface (19) of the flange carrying the blades (10).
