The ferrite thin disc for application in the microwave frequency range is mounted in a static magnetic field at right angles to the impinging h.f. wave. Its extension in the direction of the static magnetic field is considerably smaller than an extension orthogonal to it. The device using such a ferrite disc comprises shifters for the ferromagnetic resonant frequency of the disc by bending in the direction of the static magnetic field. The bending is provided by a non-magnetic support (3), bendable by electromechanical, or thermodynamic forces. On one front surface of the support is secured the ferrite disc. Pref. between the disc and the support is sandwiched a substrate crystal (2). The support may be of bimetallic material. It may be coated on both faces by metallic electrodes for connection of d.c. or a.c. voltage.
