The cage 1 mounting the empty pallet 7 will lift to the upper limit and stop then travel unit 4d of carry machine 4b will function to carry the cage 1 to the destination. Thereafter, an elevating unit 4c will function to lower the cage 1 to the lower limit and stop. At this time point, the empty pallet 7 is held by the upper face of line and separated completely from the holding section 1a of cage 1. Consequently, the switching line 5 will rotate forward to carry the empty pallet 7 to the outside of cage 1 and advance to the empty pallet line 6.
