Device for improving the quality, the earliness and the yield of certain market-garden, fruit and ornamental crops. The invention relates to a device which makes possible sensible mulching, irrigation and acclimatisation of the plants, using modular plates or strips in rolls, made from plastic material of semi-rigid consistency, laid on the ground and, if appropriate, consolidated with fastening hooks. It consists of a surface having parts in relief 1 which together define zones 2 arranged in a uniform grid and intended to collect surface water which, by means of trickling, is divisionally distributed 3 towards orifices 4 arranged at the corners of the grid where the plants are located, this surface being encircled by a lateral bulge 5 and parts 6, 7 intended for receiving means for holding on the ground 8.
