CONFORMING AND NONCONFORMING COMPONENT DECIDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simplify structure and speed up decision making operation by providing a couple of endless belts mutually parallel in front of a chute rail which supplies components and conveying the components by them. CONSTITUTION:When screws 2 are supplied in an array continuously on the chute rail 1 while having their heads up and leg parts dropped, they are passed to the couple of endless belts 10 which are adjusted to an interval based upon the screws 2 and made of, for example, ribbon steel. Consequently, the screws 2 are supported by the belts 10 and conveyed forward. The screws 2 pass through various conforming and nonconforming component decision units 30 provided along the belts 10 one after another during the conveyance, so that conforming/nonconforming component decisions on them are made. The belts 10 move during this period while holding the constant interval, so none of the screws 2 falls. Then when signals indicating a conforming component are inputted from all the units 30 to a decision control circuit, this screw is discharged as a conforming component and if even one of the units 30 decides a defective component, compressed air is supplied from a nozzle 33 to blow the screw 2 forward.
