A flat horizontal game surface (1a) is used, over which extends a horizontal net (2), and the practising player uses a normal bat and ball. Above and even behind the net is a ball bounce surface (3) which has a number of well-defined uneven surfaces so that a ball hitting them will be returned at possibly unexpected angles and speed.
