PURPOSE:To finish a soft and delicious interior of potato and apply a proper scorch on the surface of potato skin by a method wherein the operating time of a micro-wave supplying device is determined in response to the total weight of raw potato, an operating time for a hot air supplying device and/or a direct heating device is determined in response to data relating to the number of potatoes and both devices are controlled for every row and in parallel to each other. CONSTITUTION:A respective weight data of a raw potato is sent to a central processing device 6 through an input interface 5 and temporarily stored in a RAM. Concurrently, a total weight data is calculated by a calculation means 7, the number of inputting the respective weight is counted by a counting means 8, the number of items to be cooked once is determined, and the total weight and the data concerning the number are temporarily stored in the RAM. An operating program for calculating the operating time which is proportional to the total weight and the number of raw potatoes is already stored in ROM. The central processing device 6 determines the operating time of the micro-wave supplying device 9 adapted for the total weight and the data of number as well as the operating time of a hot air supplying device 10 and/or the direct heating device 11 and they are set in the time counting means 12.
