MANUFACTURE OF POTTERY RAW MATERIAL AND POTTERY PRODUCT

PURPOSE:To improve the strength of the pottery products by mixing a binder contg. one or more kinds among the burned pulverized products of specified Ca compounds series and one or more kinds among the molten pulverized products of CaO.P2O5.SiO2 series and a pottery material with water and polyethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION:A binder blended with one or more kinds among the pulverized products of high temp. burned products constituted of a mixture of alpha type tricalcium phosphate and tetracalcium phosphate obtd. by subjecting hydroxyapatite to dehydrogenating decomposition at =1200 deg.C and one or more kinds among the pulverized products of which high temp. melts constituted of CaO.P2O5.SiO2 series are rapidly cooled is mixed with one or more kinds among pottery materials such as feldspar, clay, kaolin and mica into pottery raw material powder. Next, the pottery raw material powder, by weight, 100 pts., is mixed with a water soln., 20 to 70 pts., contg. polyethylene glycol, 10 to 400 pts., to 100 pts., water, which is compacted and is thereafter burned at about 1100 to 1300 deg.C for about 2 to 10hr to obtain the pottery manufactured articles.
