PURPOSE: To make a polydiorganosiloxane/thiuram disulfide block copolymer obtainable according to mere radical polymerization on an industrial scale by reacting a specific polydiorganosiloxane with CS2 in the presence of an oxidizing agent and a tertiary amine. ;CONSTITUTION: A diorganosiloxane of formula I (wherein R1 is a 1-12C alkyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl, aryl, etc., which can freely be discontinued by a heteroatom selected from O and N and substituted with a tertiary amine group; Y is a divalent organic group linking with Si by Si-C bond; R2 is a 1-22C alkyl, 3,3,3- trifluoropropyl, phenyl; R3 is R2 a 1-3C alkoxyl group; m is 0-500, preferably 2-200) is reacted with CS2 in the presence of an oxidizing agent and a tertiary amine to prepare an polydiorganosiloxane/thiuram disulfide block copolymer of formula II (wherein R1, R2, R3, Y and m are each the same as defined above; n is 2-100).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
