PROCESS FOR POWDER COMPOSITION WITH EVENING PRIMROSE SEED OIL AND ITS POWDER COMPOSITION

Powder formulation contg. evening primrose seed oil, esp. gamma- linolenic acid ester (I) comprises (I) 10-50%; sugar 40-60% as one of corn syrup, glucose or lactose; Na caseinate 3-10%; emulsifier 0.1-3% as mixture of soy phospholipid and sorbitan fatty acid ester or monoglyceride; CMC 1-5% as builder. The powder is produced by emulsifying the formulation for 30-80 min. as o/w type to prevent (I) oxidation, and spray-drying at 40-70 deg.C, 180-320 kg/cm2 pressure with 150-200 deg.C at the injection. The peroxide value of this formulation is less increased at 5 deg.C and 35 deg.C than normal storage at 5 deg.C.
