Steering gear for motor vehicle with two inputs - introducing rotary movement by steering wheel to give axial movement and axial movement independent of steering wheel turn

The steering gear(1,1') has a second input(E2) connected to the output. Via the input(E2) an additional movement variable is introduced in the sterring gear, independent of the steering wheel movement, which the steering gear converts into an axial movement taken from the ouput. The first input(E1) can be the steering wheel shaft(2) and the second input(E2) stands in engagement with a steering gear nut(5,5'), and the second input(E2) stands in engagement. Alternatively, the first input(E1) is the steering wheel nut(5,5') and the second input(E2) stands in engagement with the steering wheel shaft(2). USE/ADVANTAGE - Axial movement serves for adjustment of wheels. Wheels are acted on with additional steering angle independent from steering wheel. This gives increased travel comfort and greater safety.
