METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PULP CONCENTRATION IN PULPER AND PULP CONCENTRATION CONTROLLING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To control pulp concentration at a low cost without using large-sized apparatus by detecting the load on a stirring means for mixing dilution water and raw pulp supplied to a pulper, and controlling the supply of the pulp and water according to the detected value. CONSTITUTION:Sheet pulp 7 supplied to a pulper 1 with a pulp-charging conveyor 6 is mixed with dilution water 20 supplied from a dilution water feeding pipe 9 with a pump. The mixture is stirred with a stirrer 3 and the load on the motor 5 driving the stirrer 3 is detected by a load sensor 18. The concentration of the mixed liquid is maintained to the optimum level by controlling the driving of the conveyor-driving motor 19 and a pump 8 to start or stop the supply of the raw sheet pulp 7 and the dilution water according to the detected value. The pulp concentration in the pulper 1 can be controlled by this process.
