The hay gathering machine such as tedder has several wheel rakes driven in opposite directions on upright axes of rotation. In addition to the detachable stop device (39) between the inner support frame (1) and the outer support frame (3) there is a further additional detachable stop device (41) between the outer support frame (3) and the middle support frame (2) whereby the swivel movement of the outer support frame (3) relative to the middle support frame (2) is restricted upwards to an angle (37) of about 15 deg.C. The two stop devices and the locking device (40) between the outer support frame and inner support frame can be operated and released by the same remote control operating means (42).
