摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a new compound capable of being dissolved in various organic solvents and mineral acids and useful as a raw material for polyimide resins having high glass transition temperatures. ;CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I, e.g. 2,2'-bis(3,4-dicarbophenoxy) biphenyl. The compound of formula I is produced by reacting 2,2'-biphenol with potassium carbonate in DMSO, reacting the reaction product with 4- nitrophthalonitrile, and subsequently refluxing the produced 2,2'-bis(3,4- dicyanophenoxy)biphenyl in the presence of potassium hydroxide in water- alcohol. The compound of formula I is refluxed in the presence of acetic anhydride in acetic acid, and the produced aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride of formula II is reacted with an aromatic diamine to produce a polyamic acid, which is heated to produce a polyimide resin of formula III (Ar is divalent aromatic group) having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.1-5dl/g in concentrated sulfuric acid at 30°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
