The invention relates to a method and a device for processing and detecting with a high visibility factor, used for the spectral analysis of a sampled signal, and its applications, particularly to Doppler radars. According to the invention, from samples (Xn) of a burst of pulses in a remote gate, the signal is autoregressively modelled (1) in order to obtain the coefficients (a1 to a4) of the predictive filter, followed by a search for the poles (2) in order to determine the frequencies of the spectral components of the signal.
