Optical device for analyzing reflectivity of living tissue for e.g. detection of cancers in medical applications, has calculation unit generating related information with spectral complex reflectivity of sample according to sampled signals
The device (1) has a detection surface (3) producing an electric signal (e1), and another detection surface (4) receiving an optical signal derived from a coherent optical source (S2) for an interferometric system when a delay line (2) induces a variable delay. The optical signal is derived depending on a delay induced by the line. The latter surface produces another electric signal (e2). A sampling system (60) samples the electrical signals over time. A calculation unit (70) generates related information with spectral complex reflectivity of a sample (100) according to the sampled signals. An independent claim is also included for a method for analyzing reflectivity or transmission properties of a sample.
