VEHICLE EMBARKATION AND DISEMBARKATION METHOD OF CAR FERRY AND FERRY TERMINAL FACILITY

PURPOSE: To shorten the time required for embarkation and disembarkation of vehicles to improve transport capacity. ;CONSTITUTION: A car ferry is brought alongside a wharf W connected to a disembarkation guide passage 4 of a ferry terminal facility T in which an embarkation guide passage 6 and the disembarkation guide passage 4 on the land side are independently and exclusively used so that flow lines of embarking and disembarking vehicles do not cross to disembark a vehicle C. Upon completion of disembarkation, a hull is shifted to a wharf W connected to the embarkation guide passage 6 to embark the vehicle C through the embarkation guide passage 6 so that efficient embarkation and disembarkation of vehicles can be performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
