Installation comprising two magnetic separators of the eddy currents for the selective sorting of domestic waste on the basis of non-ferrous metals.

The installation includes two magnetic separators of Foucault current type, with the first one (4) separating waste (2,3) whose base is composed of non-ferrous metals from other waste, and transfers the non-ferrous metal based waste onto a second separator (5). The second separator has a polar drum (10) which rotates thus driving a conveyor belt towards an exit deflector (16) which is disposed downstream and beyond this conveyor, its top edge (17) roughly aligned with this conveyor, and which delimits a first upstream track leading to bin which receives composite waste having sheet of non-ferrous metal such as waste having a thin layer of aluminium@ between sheets of polymer like tetrapack (RTM) cartons. The remaining pure non-ferrous waste such as aluminium@ cartons or cans is directed to another bin which is behind this deflector. The conveyor of the second separator is inclined at an angle alpha which is approximately 7 deg. This inclination helping to separate the trajectories of the two different types of waste falling in front of, and over the deflector.
