FLOOR STRUCTURE TO FORM JAPANESE-STYLE SPACE HAVING TATAMI IN WESTERN-STYLE ROOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a Japanese-style space in a Western-style room by forming a stand having a TATAMI (rush mat) body so that arrangement can be switched to either of a using condition where an upper surface of its TATAMI body becomes substantially parallel to a floor of the Western-style room or a housing condition where the upper surface of its TATAMI body becomes almost vertical to the floor of the Western-style room. ;SOLUTION: When a Japanese-style space is formed in a Western-style room, a central support body 2 and a leg body 3 are arranged on a floor of the Western-style room, and a stand 4 is placed on them, and is formed in a height suitable for sitting down on it. The stand 4 supports a TATAMI body 7, and a through hole to be used like a sunken foot warmer with a quilt over it, is arranged in a central part of the stand 4, and a separable mountable- demountable TATAMI body 7a having the size corresponding to this through hole is installed. When it is restored to a former Western-style room, the stand 4 is stood against a wall together with the TATAMI body 7. Therefore, a Japanese-style space having a TATAMI can be formed as a Western-type room, and can be restored to a former state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
