PECULIAR VECTOR SOLVING METHOD FOR PARALLEL MACHINE AND STRUCTURE ANALYTIC SIMULATION METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To execute the peculiar vector calculation of a large matrix with high accuracy at high speed by effectively utilizing the hardware of a distributed memory type parallel computer. ;CONSTITUTION: Concerning the numerical solution of the peculiar vector of large scale matrix on the distributed memory type parallel computer, this method is composed of input processing 21 for matrix data and peculiar value data, peculiar value distance analytic processing 22 for discriminating the distance of each peculiar value with the other peculiar value, priority deciding processing 23 for peculiar vector calculating processing for deciding the order to solve the peculiar vector, peculiar vector distribution deciding processing 24 for distributing each of peculiar vector calculation to respective processors, peculiar vector calculating processing 25 for finding the peculiar vector with an inverse repeating method by orthogonalizing with the already found peculiar vector in the range as a result of peculiar value distance analytic processing 22 while performing the inter-processor communication of the peculiar vector, and output processing 26 for integrating and outputting the peculiar vectors found at the respective processors. Thus, high-accuracy and high-speed peculiar vector calculation on the distributed memory type parallel computer and further the high-speed and high-accuracy structure analytic simulation can be performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
