PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cash register for issuing an exchange ticket with arbitrary goods such as a metal ticket or the like as well as registering ordinary products sales. ;SOLUTION: An exchange ticket information registering means 1 registers a product name in a merchandise master file 300, information of whether an exchange ticket of this product is issued or not, and information corresponding to one of the contents of this exchange ticket in an exchange ticket information storage area 3. A data input means 2 stores sales data of the product in a sales data storage area 4. A receipt edition means 5 edits a receipt from the sales data in the sales data storage area 4. Based on the sales data in the sales data storage area 4 and the corresponding information in the exchange ticket information storage area 3, an exchange ticket discrimination means 7 determines whether a product for issuing the exchange ticket is sold or not. An exchange ticket edition means 8 edits the exchange ticket of a product when the product for issuing the exchange ticket is sold.
