A device is provided for the detachable fastening ofone or more instruments (1) at one or more locationsand their electrical connection to a cable (5) havingone or more wires, using at least one fastening elementwhich is mounted at one of the locations, in whichdevice each instrument (1) has a snap mounting (12) bymeans of which it can be locked onto the respectivefastening element, in which the electrical connectionof the respective instrument (1) is carried out whileit is being locked on, in which a cable mounting (4) isarranged on the fastening element, which cable mountinghas a profile (45) reproducing the line shape, intowhich the line (5) is inserted, and which has a guideelement which, while the instrument (1) is being lockedon, engages into an identically-shaped recess (13) onthe instrument (1), and in which the connection of therespective instrument (1) to the wires of the line (5)while the respective snap mounting (12) is being lockedonto the respective fastening element is carried out,according to a first solution variant, by penetrationcontacts (6) arranged on the respective instrument (1),or is carried out, according to a second solutionvariant, by penetration contacts (91) arranged in a cover(9) arranged between instrument (1) and cable mounting(4), said penetration contacts being electricallyconnected to plug contacts (92) which are arranged on thecover (9) and which, in turn, engage in plug connectors(15) arranged on the instrument (1) while the latter isbeing locked on.
