Wheel bearing unit for driven wheel of motor vehicle has torque- transferring out-of -roundness connection as play-free tight fit between drive shaft and part supporting wheel and drawn over nut which has assembly collar screwing onto stud
A part supporting the wheel is mounted through a neck in an axle element (2) and connected rotationally secured to a stud (14) of a drive shaft which has a torque-transferring out-of-roundness connection (18) with the neck formed as a play-free tight-fit connection which can be drawn over the nut which is screwed onto the threaded section of the stud. The nut has adjoining its head part (34) an axially aligned collar (25) which projects into the neck and and screws onto the threaded section (23) of the stud (14). The out-of-roundness connection can be a polygonal shaft connection, wedge shaft connected, cogged shaft connection.
