PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject structure capable of remarkably improving planting operation efficiency of plant seedlings by forming the root part of a planting seedling to which soil mass is attached in a specific shape and placing the planting seedling in the state of lying sideways so as to bring the side of the root part into contact with the surface of soil. SOLUTION: In this planting structure of a planting seedling 4 having a root part 2 provided with soil mass 1 containing nourishment necessary for growth of plant and a body part 3 growing from the root part 2, the shape of the root part 2 provided with the soil mass 1 is formed so that the width in vertical direction which is a growing direction of a body part becomes larger than the width in lateral direction which is perpendicular to the body part 3 and is formed in conical state so that the cross-sectional area becomes smaller as it approaches the lower direction and the plant seedling 4 is placed in the state laid sideways so as to bring the side of the root part 2 of the plant seedling 4 into contact with the surface of soil 1.
